John has a first class degree in English with Creative Writing from Brunel University, which he achieved whilst continuing his work in the events industry. During his first ten years in the events industry he was predominantly involved in managing team-building days, conferences and internal events for Blue Chip companies such as BP, Vodafone, GlaxoSmithKline and Logica. After progressing to the level of event manager at the tender age of 19, he quickly turned his hand at creating new and cutting edge event scenarios. All of the new activities and events he created were designed to be fun and absorbing, and most importantly improved team skills and group interaction.
He joined Quatreus in 2009 to help drive new business and to strengthen their internal events offering. As well as running various days for Quatreus' clients, he has also encouraged a "practice what you preach" attitude with the Quatreus staff, even subjecting them to a multi-activity day and session of Belbin team profiling. We are happy to see the group dynamic working better than ever, and we are looking forward to his next set of challenges!
John says his most demanding event to date was "killing off" the head of mergers and acquisitions of BP in a bespoke murder mystery script, and his most exciting was managing a casino night at the Dorchester Hotel for the sales team at Thomas Sanderson Blinds, where the grand prize was a round-the-world cruise.
